Now it all started when two ex-tradies from Sydney’s South Coast, Matt Ford and Jack Steele (The Inspired Unemployed), met Nick Cogger - a health-conscious drink enthusiast and publican from Torquay. They wanted to create a beer for their mates that they thought was missing in the world, and that they did...
They took the average beer and asked-
"What can we do to make it better?"
And the answer was simple - remove all the bad stuff. So they teamed up to create the Better Beer Company and together created their dream beer: a refreshing zero carb, zero sugar, low calorie beer.

In 2021 they got together with a distribution partner, the Mighty Craft, to make sure Better Beer could be enjoyed everywhere across Australia: from Tassie to Cape York; Carrawang to Byron; and everywhere in between.
And one year later, they teamed up with DB Breweries to start selling Zero Carb across the ditch in New Zealand.
The range has grown too and there's something for everyone-
the OG Zero Carb, Ginger Beer, Middy, Arvo Ale & Zero Alc.
Not to toot our own horn, but Better Beer is now the second largest independently owned Aussie beer brand.
